<By this standard Clinton & Marx are Conservative - Sorry, either one & not Groucho(Karl).>

Firstly, the media is biased in favor of the status quo; it is inherently conservative to the extent that it encourages reporters to rely on the managers of the status quo - the prominent and the elite. Secondly, the media is biased against independent thinking; it emasculates the intellect by treating it as a disinterested spectator. Finally, the media is biased against the very idea of responsibility; the day's news is viewed as something the media is compelled to report, not something they are responsible for creating.

Lynden Johnson once said that "Reporters are puppets. They simply respond to the pull of the most powerful strings." This raises profound questions about the purity and adequacy of media sources of information. Can there be democracy when information is invariably tainted?

PS I think you are being quite naive to expect the media to pay homage to your favorite form of money.
