3 Coin Marketers Charged

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., April 23 - Three Florida residents, including one who committed a multimillion-dollar stock fraud in New York, have been charged with operating a telemarketing scheme involving commemorative coins. State officials charged Daniel M. Porush, 44; Todd J. Stone, 40; and Scott B. Forman, 42, all of Boca Raton, last week with operating or participating in an unlicensed telemarketing operation. The three operated Noble & Perrault Collectibles, which made charges on credit cards for merchandise people did not receive, said Lou Leinhauser of the Consumer Services Office of the Florida Agriculture Department. Mr. Leinhauser said that when the company did ship coins, the quality was not like advertised. Mr. Porush was a partner in Stratton Oakmont, a since-defunct Long Island brokerage firm that prosecutors said cheated investors of at least $100 million.
