Even at those multiples, if any quarter proved not spectacular - it would be a fast and hard fall. With all the impending competition from Oracle, MSFT, IBM and Sun the share price seems way overvalued. Although I like the companies products and attitude, I sure wouldn't bet the farm on them.

The Internet is based on open standards which means they have no lock on any part of the Net. Also IBM's, MSFT's and the others strategy is obviously to leverage their other products interplay with the Net. Therefore, they have some major advantages in their respective environments.

Again, I've been wrong before. Maybe they will add enough plug-ins to call it an OS/platform. Maybe NC's will be everywhere, but I'd sleep better owning Coca Cola and GE knowing I'd have a comfortable retirement.
