Nick:

Unless I misheard, Roberts said his most immediate use for the Microsoft funds would be to call in about $500 million of high interest rate bonds that the Company issued awhile ago. That only makes sense, doesn't it, especially with the debt upgrades that CMCSA is in the process of receiving. Why pay more interest than you need to? If they need additional funds in the future, they'll be able to issue new debt at a significantly lower rate.

Thanks for your views about cable suppliers. I am not planning to buy anything immediately, but will monitor the stocks in hopes of price weakness and a suitable entry point. Do you have any opinion about the different cable modem suppliers out there (Bay Networks, Motorola, Hewlett)? Obviously, all these companies are so big that it's unlikely that the incremental business from modems will not have any dramatic immediate effect, but if you have a strong opinion, it might affect my evaluation process

Best Regards,

Grant
