The sector will, eventually, be back in favor again, IMHO.
The inescapable fact of TV technology advancing.

You know there is a story out today about Milton Berle:
cnn.com
"Berle ...was credited with spurring the sale of millions of tv's to a nation that was still deciding on whether to accept the new medium"

So from the beginning, every incremental or major improvement, from Color TV, to Cable, to Sat, to VCR's, to digital, have been met with derision by the media or even by the general public, until one day people realize that they wouldn't want to give up these advances that we take for granted.
