Ish, I'm pretty sure that there are not as many people in England as in the US, so you might want to factor that into your equation. (I've done math with this thread before, and it was tougher than teaching my four year old.) Nevertheless, my figure was off. Since 1970 when I lived in England, the # of murders has apparently gone up from 50 to 1,000 per year. Probably due to the takeover of the Tories in 1980. Still, the fact that the US has a 500% higher murder rate is significant to those who do not have their head buried in the darker regions of the National Rifle Association's anatomy. Scumbria
