Wars happen for various reasons. Our estimation of their barbarity is partially contingent on our estimation of their brutality, and that has a lot to do with the supposed rate of fatalities. Therefore, yes, the body count matters......

Well, we weren't talking about a war; we were talking about murder! Remember! The Inquisition was not a war. I have never seen it listed as a war. It was an INQUISITION (a severe questioning--doesn't it make your heart overflow?)!
