Silicon Graphics Gets Sony Order, Unveils Workstation Dow Jones Newswires MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) said in a press release Monday that it sold 100 Octane 2 visual workstations to Sony Corp.'s (SNE) Sony Pictures Imageworks unit. Financial terms weren't disclosed. Separately, Silicon Graphics said it unveiled several products including a Windows Operating System-based workstation called Zx10 VE visual workstations and its StudioCentral Library 3.0, which is a digital asset management system for enterprise-wide deployment.
