Mark- Candescent's demos are not presently open to the public... Once again...I work for Candescent, but am not representing the company. My words are carefully chosen to avoid revealing proprietary information. There are not presently demos available to the public. As has been reported here previously (by others), there have been demos to private investors. No engineering samples are available. Further questions of that sort can be directed to Stewart Hough (shough@candescent.com). There are several inherent advantages over the popular AMLCDs: * high brightness and a wide color gamut (with high-voltage phosphors) * speed * temperature range * viewing angle Basically, the "thin CRT" FED has the advantages of a CRT, except that it is low power and flat.
