But according to the news media, yours were kept artifically low by price controls. So your 300% is from a lower base. Doesn't make up all the difference, but some.

Ours have gone up steadily here in the Pac NW while yours have stayed stable. We've built plants while you haven't. Now we're being asked to conserve so they can send our power down to you. They may destroy our aluminium industry to feed your server farms.

Hmmm. It's enough to tempt me to turn into a conservative!
