"Rambus may well rescue AMD again. " Yeah, well that is why I think that Barrett will be wanting to spend more time with his family pretty soon. Because, as you say, 128 bit wide DDR makes soo much sense. Even if it cost an extra $20 (which I am extremely dubious about) on the raw board cost, it would be worth it. But the viewpoint by Intel and VIA both seems to be that DDR is a rock bottom, low cost solution. It baffles me. Because if AMD is smart, they would push for low cost 760MP boards. Talk about a perfect vehicle for Morgans! But I don't expect to see that happen either...
