I disapprove of fertility clinics, precisely because they created superfluous embryos. Let me ask you: if it were impossible to cure my brother's cerebral palsy without taking a 6 month old infant, crushing its skull, and preparing a medication drawn from its cerebellum, do you think I ought to support such a procedure? Even if the infant were created, by cloning, just for such use?
