The continued toleration of the Social Security and Medicare systems indicate that a LOT of Americans are stupid (actually, ignorant). But, with privatization as inevitable as the seasons, they are gradually getting smarter. The rising Hispanic population is also evolving intellectually as subsequent generations view the US as their home. The results of this evolution as far as party affiliation remain to be seen, but it does not necessarily bode well for those of the liberal persuasion...
