The guidelines served this thread well for most of its existence, but folks have to follow them. Now that I am no longer moderating the thread, regulars have to expect folks to follow them, enough to get involved when the guidelines are ignored. That did not happen...
A few things you seem too dense to understand: You can't force folks to post on a thread. When folks do post on a thread, you can't force folks to post bullish if they are bearish and you can't force folks to post bearish if they are bullish. The best you can to do is to encourage all points of view equally. Ask folks to support their views with some form of analysis to keep the thread worth reading and to encourage a cordial and respectful dialog. When moderating MDD, that is what did.
Now I have plenty of critics that will say other wise. However, in the course of trying to encourage some to honor the guidelines I garnered more than my share of detractors. Some because they refused to honor the guidelines and were excluded from the thread, some because of some form of jealousy and some because on occasion I have been in the wrong. However, I have always tried my best...
Please Ron, show us ALL how it is done, start your own thread! Once everyone sees your great set of guidelines and that it will be YOU moderating the thread, I am sure EVERYONE will flock to your new thread.
