rudedog,

re: that CPQ stock outperformed DELL over the last 2 years, and also over the last year..

All that means is that CPQ has been flatlined for a longer period than DELL. Two years ago, DELL's price was ~41; Cpq's 22. Both might have been considered only slightly silly buys. Last April 26th, DELL was ~50; CPQ 29....both very silly buys at the time and in hindsight considering their valuations and earnings problems. The fact is that for the "what have you done for me lately crowd" DELL is significantly off its lows while CPQ remains teetered dangerously close to its low. Does that make CPQ a better buy than DELL right now, despite you pointing out Dell's net profit, and your continued illustration of DELL's revenue % as per unit sales of serves vs. Compaq's? Not for me. But DELL isn't horribly attractive either. So for me, its playing options while rarely looking at my longs.

Cheers,
Kaka
