No. I never said that.

I said the action had to be EXAMINED in the context of the person's belief system.

Egad. Your posture would say that I would respect lynchings by the KKK. Absurd.

What I think is wrong is looking at an action ONLY through our own belief systems and not understanding and respecting (which does NOT mean approving of or agreeing with) the belief system of the other. I think that before we judge, we have to understand the belief system from which the action arises.

After we have done that, we may still disagree, condemn, or even, if we are in authority (parent, government, etc.) punish. But where an action is based on principle or belief, to punish without seeking understanding -- that I object to.
