CORVIS earnings were as I expected, w/ contracts pushed out. Why is anyone so surprised? Every single tech company has shrinking margins, why would CORVIS be immune? I do not buy this argument that if there product is a cost saver their margins should hold up, what are these ANALYSTS smoking?? Its called a SLOW down in the economy. No one can hide but it can be managed and CORVIS is doing fine.
Regarding loses going forward, I agree they need new customer to meet revenue numbers, and perhaps they have the customer, or customers just waiting for them to twick their numbers. Remember anyone who buys CORVIS equipment must justify the purchase to its shareholders, I expected the pushout and that was why I traded out at 9, but bought back as we tanked!
(Icould not take the possibilty of a run without being on board)
We are at the bottom of the channel and if nasd gets its footing which it looks like it has, we will slowly creep back to 10-12. I bought OPLK at 1.89 look where that is today.
I still believe in the technology, so I won't sell yet! I am FUMING at these analyst with the way they quantify their decisions. Those poor folks who bought above 30 on their upgrades and coverage, and as it sank to 6 not one analyst protected the fall. I think managment is actually not telling the whole story, and they are being FAR TOO CONSERVATIVE in their CC.
Be patient, CORVIS is still a winner, we just lost this round to these greedy shorts who think 9-6 is not enough!
Have a great week end all, including JANE, at times this market has a way of humbling even the strongest of all BULLS! |
