ah, you noticed! <g3> the unbearable line reminded me of a time my wife and i and a friend were walking along the water's edge, again up on puget sound. i noticed this huge bird up ahead, and commented on his apparent lack of concern for us as we continued to approach. i am not a birder, but i believe this was a great blue heron. we kept walking closer and closer and he eyeballed us, but never flinched. finally, when i felt like i could almost reach out and touch the big guy, he took flight. we were astounded! he was so big, and he had held his ground so long. in awe, i said, "man, he was obviously not scared of us", causing our friend to join in.... "yes, he was unflappable!!" :) mark
