Changing patterns for the semi's.....

I believe that this was the second consecutive Friday that a late afternoon sell-off failed to show up.This is significant because prior to this time there were 8 consecutive Fridays that resulted in a stinging sell-off in the last two hours.

Next week should be profitable for us on two counts. 1) It includes both the end of the month (Monday) and the first four trading days of the month which have an upside bias.

For those who might be interested earnings dates are as follows..ASYT...May 2nd, CSCO...May 8th, AMAT ... May 15th... , DELL and ADI on May 17th.

I believe that it will be a strong month for tech investors. Here's why. All the bad news that could land on the front page of of any business section about Dell and CSCO and AMAT has already been put out there.

Notice how all that talk about CSCO going to ten, and AMAT to 20 has kind of faded away. The perma bears are standing on quicksand and they know it. Now anybody and I mean anybody that felt that these stocks were going to collapse has had the last two months to vacate their positions. (and they probably have)

Look how the tech companies with poor earnings and poor outlook got treated as they reported. A one to four point pop on the open and they got to keep most of it for the rest of the week. Do you really think that Dell, CSCO and AMAT will be treated differently?

So I'm making a short term prediction. We finish May where we are at or slightly higher. All you posters that can make those fantastic five year predictions, try a short one for change. Become a legend in your own mind.

I promise that we will not keep tract of what you post unless you are absolutely right.

Jerome
