James, what I was trying to do was to agree and disagree with each of you.

I can admire people for excellence and accomplishment at what they do, whatever it is, even if I think what they do is a waste of time or even if I think it's evil. MT was apparently perfection when it comes to being a Catholic and nun. She's entitled to credit for that.

I do wish, though, that she had put her considerable talent and energy into something of which I could more fully approve. She's no hero of mine. Had she been able to disabuse the Church of it's horrid position on birth control... Now that would have been a huge contribution to civilization and I would put her on one huge pedestal. I don't give a lot of points for obedience. Obedience is a virtue only in children.
