Sounds typical. People wonder why lawyers draft thirty page agreements instead of two page agreements. All the time I hear clients ask "what I want to do is so simple, why are you making it so complicated?"

Now with you I have another example to toss back at them. If the original agreement had been a properly drafted 30 pages, think how much time and money you would have saved.

You're right. The public has been persuaded by TV shows that jury trials are exciting and fast paced. Most of them aren't. They're slow, laborious, mostly boring.

The only advantage they have is that they're better than any alternative.
