I went to an open house hosted by TDWater house here in Ottawa last week. On one hand I was curious to see the trading platforms given to their brokers close up, on the other hand I went for the free beer. To answer your question, TDW was sued last year and fined for continuing advertizing for new customers when they did not have nearly the man power and establishment to handle the existing customer base. They went on a massive recruitment and hired several hundred new brokers (order takers) and set up some state of the art systems. (Always behind the curve, they recently announced layoffs as the slowdown in daytrading presently was not foreseen by management). I have little doubt however, with all these brokers hanging around with nothing to do, it should precipate orders to some degree. A couple of Qs for you, are you trading C or Nas stocks and have you noticed any difference in execution speeds btn the two. What is the commissions on naz trades?
