Better. But what do you mean by your term obedience? Again, definition is everything.
Do you mean absolute, blind obedience in absolutely everything? If so, not even good in children. How many parents have said, at least once, out of total frustration, "Oh, why don't you go ..." when they don't really want the child to do ..."? Blind, total obedience is not good even in children or soldiers (My Lai).
Do you mean automatic obedience but not total blindnes, realizing that there are occasional, but very occasional, times when disobedience is essential?
If so, I would say it's good in children, soldiers, and many areas of employment. Such as nurses. There are very few times when a nurse should not obey directions of a doctor. But they do happen.
Do you mean the habit of obedience, where one normally obeys but keeps one's thinking process going? Not good for soldiers. They need the automatic but not total blindness kind. Maybe good for children, depending on their age and who you ask. Very good in most employees, treadespeople, etc.
Even the single term obedience has many ramifications!
Got to get off the computer for now, am on line from home and the better 90% wants the internet! Have to go to the other, not on-line computer.
Back eventually, if I'm allowed to be. You see, my obedience to spouse is of the absolute, total, complete blind character. Only way to a truly happy marriage! |
