re: MOT and IBM difference

With MOT is was a blind dumb partner leading AMD.

With IBM AMD has someone who is already in production.

Even tho SOI is late at least it now a realistic schedule.

MOT has been terrible at moving product from lab intro production. Just look at anemic MHZ rating of Power PC families.

Its good that AMD is partnering with IBM.

Having said that they are still perhaps a day late and dollar shiort with hammer now.

I just don't see AThlon/palomino holding up to PIV in early 2002.
