" Looks like Intel's 130nm ramp is in serious trouble."

130nm seems to be a tough nut to crack. Arguably Intel needs it more than AMD, if a Tbird can reach 1.4GHz, I would guess a Palomino will be able to get within spitting distance of 2GHz, say 1.7GHz or better? Both AMD and Intel have pretty aggressive 180nm processes, AMD has a Leff of at least 90nm and I would guess Intel is somewhere around the same. TSMC and UMC have a Leff of around 100nm for their 130nm processes, so Intel and AMD are trying to do something a whole lot harder.

From where I sit, it looks like Intel is in more trouble than AMD at this juncture, that delay in the 193nm tooling has got to hurt...
