How many peace marches were YOU on in the mid 60s?

The people as a whole were for the Vietnam war for many of those years. When the majority firmly turned against it, the war ended.

The government in this country may act against the wishes of the people short-term, but not long term. Polls today (recognizing my distrust of polls) are showing, for example, that Bush is basically in tune with the majority of the people. I'm sure you disagree, but there it is.
