To All, Barron's mini review. Not a very inspired issue this time around with the letters being the best part. See, that even happens when I am no longer allowed to write them. <g>

Abelson makes the argument that the GDP was boosted by loss leader sales, primarily of SUVs. Recession is still possible. Andrew Smithers says not to buy last cycle's winners for this cycle. And he mentions that tech stocks never have any free cash flow. Where have I heard that line before? <g>

A piece on folks suing hedge funds, but my industry is not immune. In one of last week's Wall Street Urinals they told the story of a broker who put an 85 year old lady's half million into all techs, on margin. He grew it to $15,000. I think we heard that story earlier on this thread, but I can't remember who posted it. Really sad stuff. One of my friends is being wacked for doing something very similar, though the techs were only 40% of the client's portfolio in his case. I was shocked because he is an honest guy. But that is why a mania is a mania. It makes even honest people crazy unless they have some anchor in reality.

A fluff piece on Lilly.

An upbeat piece on Motel 6, my favorite hotel for other folks to stay at. <g>

Motorola is turning around. Again. Trust them this time when they tell you. <g>

A hedge fund manager who hates financials and retailers and likes small cap techs. No, I have not been cloned. <g>

Great letters knocking Richard Russell for being a stopped clock. I like the guy and respect what he has to say, but he was definitely wrong in 1988.

Have a great weekend. KT and the Sunshine Brand.
