Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008), Richard Li's telecommunications vehicle, said it introduced "Wireless LAN" (Local Area Network) communications services at Hong Kong International Airport, allowing travelers to get wireless broadband Internet access.

Internet users can insert a wireless LAN card in their laptop computers to connect to PCCW's wireless network and then the Internet.

PCCW said the service is now accessible only in restricted areas on the departure level, but it should become available throughout the passenger terminal within two years.
