The Finches that nested inside of our fluorescent light fixture on the beam over our open carport have hatched 3 birdlets. The nervous parents continue to fly in and out as the car moves the same.

We're now awaiting the arrival of the Orioles that always show up around the first of May. Generally I hear their cracking chirps before I glimpse their gold and black colors flitting through and about the trees. They are the prettiest travelers that show up around here; almost as bright are the American Gold Finches.
