Laurie,

>> Now, I have a dumb question. If your debt is trading at $0.11 on the dollar, why not buy it? Is there any rule
against buying back your own debt on the open market? With TSIX's bank debt trading at $0.50 on the dollar and
bonds trading at $0.16 on the dollar, the entire face value of TSIX's $2 billion debt was $500 million. I guess you
can't do that. You'd need an outsider with deep pockets.<,

Like Alcatel or BCE.?? It's a great idea and an even greater opportunity.
Not sure if TSX themselves could do it but they don't have the cash right now.
It seems it may well appeal to one of the bigger telecoms, like Nortel or Telus.
May even be of interest to someone like AOL, who needs mega-bandwidth and has the cash or valuable stock.
