I am trying to install a printer on my Dell running Windows 98. I go to add printer and it is not listed under the options of HP printers (DeskJet 820cse). I say I have the disks and it begins with disk 1 through the 3rd. It tries to communicate with the printer and I get this message- c:windows\startmenu\__HP_G is not accessible

It will continue with disk 3 and start on fonts taking disc 4 when I get these error messages:
unable to find necessary set up files and
unable to add True Type font Snap.TTF.

Needless to say the printer will not work. Anybody have any ideas short of me pitching a fit and smashing this thing:) Keep in mind that I can turn one of these things on and get myself in trouble but not much more.

<edit> I have tried deleting the printer and re-installing but get the same errors
