I think the way to make the buzzword go away is to embrace and extend it. So "at the end of the day" becomes "at the end of a perfect day when all the bills are paid", "on the same page" becomes "in the same paragraph of the same book", "It's the **** stupid" becomes "What this is about for the uninformed, is really, the ******, isn't it stupid? "Playing on the same team, a real team player" becomes "working with us as a member of the home team and using the same playbook" etc etc.. you get the idea. Inventing new buxx that replaces old buxx is truly seditious of the art.

We should also work to end most acronyms. As in, "I have worked for 20 years writing programs that exchange standard text data streams between mainframes and remote facilities and terminals for order departments of large corporations, but precisely what does EDI as it applies to ERP mean to you?"

Does this idea PING your FQDN anyone? And what the hell is a "dot com" anyway. I thought it was an internet address not some MBA trying out sales without advertising.
