That's exactly what attracted me to this thread. There is far more useful information being posted here than in Forbes (in 1998 or now).

I have not yet begun to fully invest in the semiconductor industry because I am not so secretly hoping we see at least one more sell off based on poor visibility and lowered earnings outlooks. We may have already hit bottom this time around. The fact is by the time a magazine like Forbes is telling someone to short a semiconductor capital equipment stock selling for less than 10 with a future earnings outlook of $3.00 per share there simply can't be much downside left.

Even now although I want to see more selling in these stocks before I buy anything I know that longer term there is much more upside throughout the industry than downside. Future earnings estimates are lower now but it makes it far easier for a company to surprise on the upside. Nice work here by Don:
