Here's another fun way to use coffee cans---especially if you have young children or grandchildren.

TIN CAN ICE CREAM

1 c. light cream
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (1 lb) coffee can with lid
1 (3 lb) coffee can with lid
Rock salt
Crushed ice

Mix cream, milk, sugar and vanilla together. Place mixture in a 1 lb. coffee can and cover with lid.
Set small can inside the 3 lb coffee can. Fill the large can with crushed ice and 3/4 c. rock salt. Cover with
lid. Roll for 10 minutes(this is where the kids have fun rolling it back and forth
to each other). Drain water from the large can, stir contents and fill with more ice and 3/4 c rock salt.
Roll can for 5 more minutes and you've got Ice Cream. Enjoy!!!
