No it wasn't.

As you state yourself, the wavelength of "light" is not fixed:

Typically "light" refers to those in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum, down to 400 nm.

In the article, the "light" was presumably a monochromatic 248nm source (not that there are other types of 248nm sources ;)). My issue with the Reuters reporter is that he wrote "the wavelength of light", similar to how one might write "the speed of light".

Yeh you are nitpicking, so am I. But you are not right :)

We are both nitpicking, but I am right ;-p
