I have a little problem with the numbers you are using. Based on the table at the top of your message, total plate production is projected to grow 17% in five years (143.2 in 1995 to 167.3 in 2000), not three years. In any case, that is the projected growth of the TOTAL plate market.

What you SHOULD be looking at is the CTP growth, which increases 650% in three years (1.4 in 1995 to 10.5 in 1998), 229% in the next two years (10.5 in 1998 to 34.5 in 2000), or 2364% in five years (1.4 in 1995 to 34.5 in 2000).

The rest of your calculations are, therefore, meaningless.

Just for the fun of it, and I want to make it clear that I don't believe in this calculation, let's take your projected price of $40.80 and multiply it by the ratio of 2364% and 17%. That gives a projected price for PRST in 2000 of 5673 5/8. Ridiculous, of course, but it shows what you can do with wild assumptions.
