I received the following email from my cousin on real-estate in San Jose (Silicon Valley) today.

"It is a wicked market out there right now. In January we only had 880 houses on the market in all of the county. We now have 5100 this week and it is increasing. There is a mass exodus out of here with all of the layoffs and failed companies. Plus our power crisis is no help either."
