It's not all bad, and things are likely to slowly, slowly get better as we move into 2002.

Things could get better quickly too -- <g>.

My brother's wife works at the foundry that manufactures pistons for several makes of car engines. She works on the most automated line which is for both Nissan and Saturn I think. Back in February they had a week of company "shut down" for the first time in her ten years of working there. This week she will be working 12 hour shifts every day -- four hours of overtime each day. That's a pretty good leading indicator. Rory
