OT: Petronas' pipe aims Upstream, last week's issue A Petronas negotiating team is expected to arrive in Manila next week for preliminary talks on a proposed 1000-kilometre offshore pipeline that would connect gas fields between Malaysia and the Philippines. The Business Times reported that the pipeline project, which is part of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations' efforts to set up a trans-Asean gas pipeline network, will link Palawan in southern Philippines to Sabah on the island of Borneo. The Asean has an estimated 227 trillion cubic feet of natural gas waiting to be tapped.
