You know ... CD-R/RW disks have captured virtually all my storage needs here at home. The storage systems being sold to industry need to be 24 hr/day 7 days a week reliable. So the devices themselves are old technology before they get out of testing. IMHO the company that will continue to lead is the company that R&D is ahead of the curve.

I see only EMC willing to support that research, and others that jump up quickly after EMC makes a new step forward.
