'mornin H,

While I completely understand your frustration trying to get
parrots to provide sensible back-up for their calls, I believe they are only capable of parroting self-serving
murky generalizations. I don't believe they are capable of original thought and extrapolations.
Actually, I am long on this move since late Friday when I noticed the symmetrical triangle breakout to the upside on the 15 minute chart in the final minutes of trading. I believe this move will peak at the 62% retracement of the move down from the 1/31 breakdown ($compx) to the 4/4 low.
I have felt this since the break of the downtrend line of that move. My target corresponds to roughly an uptrend line connecting the tops of 4/12, 4/20 around the 2400 level.
I do not believe this upward movement has anything much to do with the economical landscape (which sucks), but rather of a technical nature. I have learned to trust charts and what they are picturing, even though it may contradict logic and sensibility. Of course, I do not throw caution into the wind. I'll be quick to move should the charts make a turn for the worse!
While I object strenuously to the self-serving pimping of one's own personal picks, I always appreciate anyone's call
based on analysis (especially technical - which strangely is a foreign language to many who tout their picks). Of course I am willing to be wrong and challenged. Making money in the market encompasses the acceptance of reasonable risk; I feel that risk is reasonable now based on my chart readings (hocus-pocus ggg).
I appreciate that there are others out there such as you and Abner and others who are willing to step out and say "enough with the B.S." Gives me a better feeling regarding this thread that it is maybe more than a personal tout-sheet for the intellectually challenged.
Best Regards,
Eichler
Asking pointed questions that are constantly evaded and manipulated are clear signs that there is more than
just postulating and analyzing at work. Better off talking to a wall. Doesn't talk back with more B.S....Unless it's a wall like the Grand Canyon, and then you only get back what you put in!ggg
