KG4, I don't think you can call excellent a company whose stock peaked at around $50 five years ago and now goes for $2, whose yearly sales are around half of what they were a few years ago, and which has been losing money for most of the last few quarters.

Anybody looking at its record objectively would say that GEMS is a mediocre company, or worse. The saving grace is that it has relatively new management and a potentially explosive future product. But competition usually swarms over potentially explosive products, so the key question is whether the new management can compete effectively. Overall I think it's a good value at these levels, given its price to book ratio and its potential, so I bought a little this morning just to motivate me to keep tabs on it.
