For any of you who haven't noticed, Etrade has been upgrading its security system without any notice to customers. As a consequence, the service has been completely unreliable for the past two weeks, or more. Fills on market orders have been an abomination. It took me 5 phone calls over the past 10 days to finally have someone disclose to me that a change in the security system was causing me to have problems. Had there been a fair disclosure of the problem, I'd likely have discontinued my efforts to trade through Etrade until the problem was resolved. As it stood, I continued to try to earn a living through my Etrade account and paid the price. Of course, I was told 4 times that the problems was on my end despite messages that indicated there was a technical problem on Etrade's end.

I have challenged all fills in my account from 4/6 forward due to the undisclosed problem and shitty fills. I'll post how it comes out (in case it's not a foregone conclusion).

In short....this is the heads up Etrade failed to provide for 10 days upon direct request by me.
