I'm very familiar with two Fortune 100s, and besides IT spending, they have cut all direct sales support including advertising and travel to 'zero budget' ... including anything except bare-bones maintenance of existing e-business 'solutions' via the websites. And heads are rolling. Through direct layoff, forced (-g- ... rather, 'normal attritition' in the parlance), etc. Sales into tech sector fell off a cliff in the Jan-March quarter. You think replacing existing hardware is a priority for these companies? Or improving the premise intranet and extranet structures? bia
