The only functional vote is the one you cast Yourself. That's YOUR vote.
Yes, women have always had influence, at least a few have. But thought the argument you make may be cute, it is lacking in substance.
I would have to look up details on the warrent thing. It is a case in Georgia that the USSC ruled on that I refer to specically. I'm not in Georgia, but in a state with a similar law. I don't recall why or how they got into the man's home, but what they arrested him for was having sex with his adult partner in a manner inconsistent with state law. No sodomy and all that. Those terrible bad somdomites. mymy. I might have overstated by saying they could come into my home anytime, though there was some element of that in the story that eludes me in specifics. When I have time, I'll look it up. The point that makes it fell 'like any time' if you are gay, is that they came in for some reason, and boom, arrested him for his private, consenual, adult sexual behavior in his own home. Perhaps if a few straight people got arrested for sodomy, something might change. I have heard some people like it. But that's another story.
As to personal liberties and right to privacy, the debate going on now about those machine thingies that can sense heat in your home are interesting. An argument is that they only sense heat, but the images clearly show human forms. Meaning they could see pretty much what you are up to. Not good. |
