pbull: have you moved lately? I just did ... all utilities a complete pain in the ass to deal with. Besides the ISDN 'features,' the scheduling -- minimum three days advance ... then they refuse to set appts ... will only indicate 'morning' or 'afternoon' shifts -- and then, there's no guarantee. Time Warner cable was the biggest pain in the ass on this move ... they use contractors. Independents. Once the guy finally got here, was good. Non-union, of course, are these people ... at least in this state. I miss the 'good old days' of union-reliability. From the times I lived in the 'north.' -g- And the phone company. Hideous cust serv. Absolutely hideous. SW Bell. But, once one goes through the processing of a house sale with all the various 'service industry professionals' salivating over their cut of the profits of your money ... closings always make me want to take a bath ... to wash off the dirt ... Title companies -- totally inept -- realtors bored to death because they've gotten their obscene ill-earned cuts of the profits from both sides ... Nauseating. Just 'porchin' ... or would that be 'plains-in' ... From the weeds. bia
