fydor,
My point on why Intel folks don't post on this thread isn't primarily censorship. I don't want to talk for anyone else, but I think most perceive that if you post anything positive about Intel, you are treated with the same hospitality as a rattlesnake. I've experienced it myself, trying to post what I thought was a neutral post, and then being attached be five or ten people, on and off the subject of the post, about what a miserable company Intel is. It's not so much censorship as it is that you just wear folks out. And I think part of that is caused by the clubyness of a moderated thread. Some of it by the ability to ban opposing views. If you think Intel investors are welcome, read back through today's posts. Most are about Intel, not AMD, and they are all critical (an understatement), many with bizarre speculation. (exception are some posts from Kash).
Not that the Intel thread is tolerant of negative posts about Intel, but I think that the majority of posts are at least about Intel, and criticism of AMD is not as frequent or as vociferous.
Today I made one post challenging John's conclusions, and this is my seventh follow up post. And there were a few I didn't answer. Not exactly home field advantage for a Intel investor who feels he is at least somewhat objective about both companies.
I've always said that these two companies have much more in common than their differences. If the market is good, both sets of stockholders will do well. If it's bad, we suffer together. Maybe somebody needs to start a microprocessor thread, where the common interest of the industry is discussed, without any animosity between INTC, AMD or TMTA investors. Somehow I don't think it would be very well attended.
