Hi, Doc. It seems to me a graduate student in your field could write a wonderful thesis (or go crazy) explaining the support this stock has gotten from its "loyal" band of "supporters". If I'm not mistaken, you follow (at least some of) the posts on Raging Bull, which range from the ridiculous to the sublime. I think it's remarkable that a company with GMGC's poor performance record could attract ... and retain ... such an ardent bunch of followers.
If you ever hear of anyone undertaking such a thesis, please ask them to include my personal perspective: I'm in GMGC because I hate everything it stands for (ohhh, OK ... dislike). I want my car to get me from here to there, and back again. I don't want to talk to it. I don't want it offering any opinions. I just want it to run ... quietly. Like a child, a car should be seen and not heard.
I had an unfortunate need to call Verizon this week to get some information regarding the phones in the office. After the full litany of punch this/punch that I finally got to a human ... who said they could not give me the information I needed. The (human) lady said she would connect me with someone who would help me. This led to another litany of punch this/punch that ... which finally told me there was an error and disconnected. Nope. Didn't get the information I needed.
I invested in GMGC because most of the things I detest in our society have become raging successes. It seemed to me that, since GMGC epitomized these things, it would be the path to a golden future. Fortunately I had the wit to invest in some good companies, too.
I sincerely hope GMGC can now pick up its head and prance on down the road. I lack the knowledge to characterize Ms. Layton's performance to date. She shouldered a heavy load, the difficulties of which I can hardly imagine. My best wishes to her ... and, more to the point, to you.
