Your accusations of dumping, fly in the face of Sander's potential price-fixing attempts.

It would be illegal for Sanders to phone an Intel exec and ask Intel to not lower prices. I believe that is called price-fixing.

However, it could be perfectly legal for Sander's to signal a price-fix to Intel, through a public analyst conference call, by emphatically stating that he will not enter a price war with Intel. Who would even suspect a name-calling executive as a price-fixer? (if that's what he was up to)

Fortunately, for the consumer, Intel ignored (what may have been) Sander's smoke signal.

Btw, regarding some of the accounting differences you mentioned. I agree with you that it would be better for shareholders of any company, if companies were more consistent in their method of accounting reports so that cross-company comparisons can be made more easily. It's difficult when they are not.
