Alomex: "Amazon can approach its lenders and say: either we declare bankruptcy which means you get cents on the dollar or we can exchange for a new debt one with no interest due for two years, higher principal and a convertible price of $18 instead of the $80 or so that it is right now..." The problem with any resturcturing of the debt is that it exposes "the big lie". I cannot understand why anybody wants to own the stock as it is -- but throw in the huge diluting impact of converting the debt to equity and I think it would expect even the dummies that own the stock to ask for their money back.
